Two-time luge Olympian and 2009 World Champion Erin Hamlin will try her hand at teaching the finer points of her sport to actor Brian Baumgartner during NBC’s Training for Tahoe on Saturday, July 21 from 2-3 PM ET. Baumgartner is best known for his role as Kevin Malone on the NBC hit The Office. The show features Baumgartner’s tongue-in-cheek effort to prepare for the American Century Celebrity Golf Championships at Lake Tahoe, which airs on NBC from 3-6 PM ET the same day. In past episodes of the annual program, Baumgartner tried a variety of sports with athletes including Apolo Ohno (speedskating), Michael Strahan (football) and Ryan Howard (baseball) as a part of his training regimen. The segment featuring Hamlin has shot in Lake Placid, New York at the USA Luge indoor start training facility and at the Olympic Sports Complex luge track. "Being a part of Training for Tahoe was a lot of fun," said Hamlin, currently training in Lake Placid for the upcoming luge season. "The program presents a fun and lighthearted opportunity to show sports fans what luge athletes are up to in the summer months." The program is produced by Carr-Hughes Productions in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Check your local listings for exact air times. |
