The USLA/USA Luge is an Olympic class member of the United States Olympic Committee and the official American representative to the International Luge Federation (F.I.L.).  A not-for-profit organization, the USLA/USA Luge works to prepare, train, and equip the United States National Luge Teams for international and Olympic competition, as well as promote the growth of the sport nationwide.

Are you an athlete ages 9 - 13?

The USA SLIDER SEARCH, the official athlete recruitment tour of USA Luge, is for you!  Established for boys and girls ages 9-13, the USA Slider Search travels across the country each summer/fall to identify, train, and qualify young athletes for the USA Luge Junior Development Team.  Athletes who may progress through the six-rung development ladder (Junior Development Team, Junior Team Candidate Select, Junior Team Candidate, Junior National Team Select, Junior National Team, and Senior National Team Select) have hopes of one day becoming members of the Senior National and Olympic Luge Teams.

Do you ski and want to meet and train with USA Luge athletes at your favorite ski resorts?

Now in its 15th season, the LUGE CHALLENGE will bring the luging experience to the masses free of charge at ski resorts across the country during the 2013 winter season.  This program uses a recreational version of the luge sled used in the Olympic Winter Games.  It gives youngsters, 10 and older, and adults the chance to feel, first-hand, the excitement of luge.  USA Luge National Team coaches and athletes demonstrate this Olympic sport to the participants and teach the proper techniques.  After a few morning practice runs you’ll be able to take the “Ultimate Challenge” on a track complete with banked turns and timing equipment on a Laserluge® made for snow. 

Do you want to live the life of a luge athlete?

Those who have aspirations of lying on their back, sliding down an icy shoot at 50-miles-per-hour will have an opportunity to fulfill their dream when they participate in the USA LUGE FANTASY CAMP.  This fund-raising program offers a great chance for the public to experience the thrill of a lifetime while supporting athletes and programs of USA Luge.  The camp also provides businesses with a one-of-a-kind opportunity for corporate outings, teambuilding, thanking top employees or rewarding loyal customers.  A farewell dinner concludes the three-day event.
